Thank you for all the crit and comments all of which is very appreciated. I tried to take a different route to the obvious, the next theme looks a little more interesting and I'm thinking hard as I type :D

Good looking shot. I was thinking it must be an unusual shot of the Glam Rockers "Sweet" of Ballroom Blitz fame" until I read your write up.

Thanks folks, appreciated. ;)

Here is a shot of the first thing that popped into my head when I saw the theme was secure.

 Great idea, and great shot to.
People are finding some nice different shots for this weeks theme, and getting them p quite quick to.

I have just looked through all of your photos album and I really like your shots. The pp on fear is great, something id love to be good at.

My favourite of the lot has to be sigh its a cracking composition and right on theme. Looking forward to seeing more of your shots they should be good.

Fantastic! great idea and lovely sharp pic. Like it a lot.

Secure works well for me love all the different takes that people come up with when the themes are posted out, great macro

Great DOF on this Alby but would not expect anything else good lighting and sharp in the right place.

love it - good take on the theme too

Wow - very well done and an interesting view on the theme, you might what to check your not still flying low though ;)

Thanks everybody, 5 weeks in so I thought I had better stick up a macro shot. :D
Fly checked Ruthie ;)

Thanks folks, glad you all seem to approve of my secure shot. :D

Not sure what I was going to do for this but while at work I spotted the perfect thing for me to shoot with the Panny FZ8 and play around with CS5. It was a quick pull over to the side of the road, wound down the window and 2 quick snaps gave me a pretty crap shot. A play in CS5 and I started to like it so here it is.

Title: "A dying Industry"

It fits the theme right enough but something just isnt working for me. Not sure what though

It looks a bit dark to me but as I've said before my laptop isnt the best. I dont know if its the PP. I'll keep looking and see if I can work it out :D

Like that a lot, almost like a headstone and works well in B&W

Thanks Ben, you can't win everybody all of the time.

Thanks Gramps, now you mention it, it does almost fit as a headstone I guess.

Hi alby,

Missed secure, but its already been said, its very simple and very well shot

Industry- i like the idea behind this, and think it works very well for the theme and as an image

Industry, well composed and on theme. I wasn't sure about the bright BG but then I thought, "Light at the end of the tunnel??" and rather liked it.

Cheers.

BTW, what lens/settings for secure??

Hi Alby

Industry...thats an interesting figure...really like the darkness , the angle & the sharpness...keep up the good work
Thanks for your thoughts Lynne. ;)

Thanks Lizzy, I found Industry quite challenging if I'm honest.

The B&W conversion suits this image Alby. The bright background isolates the figure well. Spot on theme. Out of curiosity, what size is this figure, just to put it in context? Iain
