Hi,

I'm looking to buy a 50D body, and AJ electronics is showing a very competitive price. Does anyone have experience - good or bad - with them?

Never heard of them, but the fact that the first dslr that comes up on their website is the Sony A100, which was discontinued about 3 years ago, doesn't bode well.....

I'm seeing them listed from the camerapricebuster.co.uk website, where they're showing as the cheapest for the 50D body. I see what you mean about the Sony though - doesn't inspire confidence.....

We bought our wide screen samsung TV from them 2 years ago, due to them having a buy now pay later option [which we needed at the time] and being local enough that if they failed to deliver, we could send the boys over! :naughty: Fortunately, they delivered on the day they said, the price was excellent, the credit agreement easily sorted, and all went well.

That was a couple of years ago I hasten to add, and a lot can happen in that time, so all I can do is confirm is that they have at least been around fo a while. :)
 
I can report that they have been around for quite a while and are an electronics shop on the Edgware Road. Their website states that they have been in existence since 1983 and I have no doubt of that. A journalist friend of mine and I have bought from them in the past and deliveries have been prompt. Prices can be very keen as stated. I last visited their premises back in 2004/5. Very swish it was too with displays of wide screens and other audio-visual equipment. I'd have thought that if you pay by card, you have nothing to lose. Perhaps the website just needs updating.

I did the same with them just over a year ago with my TV, again they delivered on time, and their were no problems with their credit agreement, the fact that they seem to deal more in TV,s, sound systems, etc and not camera equipment maybe the reasons why they are showing something outdated, just a thought though.
