My new title is now going to be what was mentioned in the Koi Karp and Frog thread...........so there. :razz:
 
ROFL - loving this thread!!! I've been lucky so far - have managed to earn one or two people their new titles but other than that keeping my head down (ha ha!).

You can make suggestions for words and definatitions to the OE dictionary can't you - shall we all write in and suggest "Janice" as an additional one for floozy then?! (Sorry J!)

Honestly Anton - I'd suggest not looking for anything more "unusual" - you could end up with something really dubious - look at Minimeeze, a perfectly innocent comment led to her being known as a "dinkle spotter" for ever more! :lol:
 
user titles are getting an overhaul. Any custom titles will be dished out solely at admin discretion, we wont be doing requests. AT ALL

You're right Jan - that wasn't very nice. If you want to be known as someone that mounts fish heads thats entirely up to you. Sounds odd to me, but each to their own :D ;) :cuckoo:

I do object to the checking me skeef chirp though!

That chirp originated in what we refer to as the "Bliksem Triangle." The people in this area make the worst of any country's inbred hillbillies look educated.

Shame really though, I cant help but think the playful titles that were randomly dished out, added to the relaxed atmosphere of the place, and thats something that all the noobs who join comment on.
I think it also gave the feeling that we were more of community than just another forum.
Seemed to encourage more posting too ... oops perhaps thats a bad thang, lol!!!
Oh well ... at least my feet are under somebody's table! :D

Kind of agree Glo - still, I'd only had my title for a week or so so I can't complain too much -but now my avatar and location seem a trifle daft :D

On the other hand, Im sure it made us seem a bit cliquey (sp?)? Thats something that will discourage noobs imo. I think that may be part of the reason why it was done. Plus it was getting a bit out of hand tbh, esp with certain users having theirs changed every week.
 
If you were referring to me, Joe, mine was changed often but it had nothing to do with me......it was not something I asked for.
I only noticed it kept being changed when other people drew my attention to it.
It was being changed by others suggesting it to admin I guess. :shrug:

Yeah, I can see where youre coming from with the cliquey thing.
I guess peeps all perceive things differently and that has to be taken into account.
I know for me personally, I just thought 'What a great bunch' and although I joined several other forums, its been the humour in this one that's kept me coming back every day.

There was nothing out of hand with it in my opinion, just added to the warmness and fun of being part of the community.
