Agfa Scala, silver or dye based film

Hi all

A quick question, I hope.

The old Agfa Scala B&W slide film, was is a silver based film like conventional B&W negative fils like FP4 or is it a dye based film like Ilfords XP2 is.

I have some to scan so need to know if I am going to be able to use the iR dust cleaning option.

I've just googled it and it seems that you cannot use any infra-red dust cleaning with black and white slide.
