May have just found my new favourite slide film. Smooth grain, nice colours, scans very well.

And cheap, it makes Fuji stuff look like a millionaires toy

Will post some examples when I have finished scanning

I picked up a couple of these from a pharmacy in Berlin for five Euros a pair. Finally decided to put one to use and at the moment I am working my way through a roll in the X-500. Hard work at the moment what with the clouds and me not liking tripods :) I'm glad you say it scans well as I was planning to get it dev only from AG.

I did wonder whether we should have a Precisa challenge, as we did with Vista. Didn't find a source anywhere as cheap as Poundland, though. Maybe in a month or so as the colours start to emerge?

It is Provia 100 at the moment if you input the DX barcode into a certain website and then look it up on the ISO website for film types (the barcode allows automatic identification of the film type by minilabs so they can process it for the correct time and apply the correct colour profile after scanning).

However in the past it has also been certain types of Kodak film, Sensia etc, I think it just depends on what is going cheap at the time as AGFA Photo don't actually make any of their own films they just rebrand them (the other old AGFA subsidiary still around that made aireal film and was spun off before its parents demise does make its own film however such as APX100 and various ones which are rebranded by Rollei).
