AG New Website

Despite my less than successful shopping attempts at AG in the past (and yes I know there are folk on here that are very pleased with their service) I'm pleased to see they seem moving in the right direction.

They've just launched a new website with (in their words) 24-7 real-time updates

I really hope this improves the AG shopping experience as they carry a good stock and mostly at reasonable prices so it would be great if they could be added to the list of reliable suppliers.

Thanks for the post - 2015 has seen a lot of changes to the business, mainly in connection with:

- Stock management
- Order management
- Stock levels

Starting in March we implemented a completely new piece of software which has been absolutely superb in sorting out our stock and order management. However, we did this in conjunction with cash investment in the stock itself, meaning that we have very significantly more stock holding now, compared to the beginning of the year. The introduction of a completely new website is the final step (this would have come sooner, but we had some issues with the person who was supposed to be coding it.....)

The site now displays whether items are in or out of stock and this is constantly updated automatically in real time throughout the day, 24-7. Our next step will be to display the actual stock levels in real time on the website so customers know exactly what's going on. I hope this detail will come on stream in around February.

Finally, we appointed a Finance Director earlier in the year - which is rather a grand title, but he is a director, and he is an accountant and his sole purpose is to manage the company finances, so it's a fair title. This has also made a big difference as we always have management accounts and figures on hand now.

All these things come together in order that we can offer the best customer service and the best prices.
