While I was waiting for BB to be connected to a new property, O2 kindly sent me a broadband dongle to tide me over.

I know these things compress images to conserve bandwith/download limits but even after a couple of weeks some pages still look compressed/pixelated on my "proper" broadband connection.

First thing I tried was to delete browser history/cache but that didn't fix it/

I've googled the problem but there doesn't seem to be anything definitive about it.

The only other thing I can think is that I still have O2's connection manager software installed (maybe using the dongle again this weekend) but I've disabled the autorun feature and made sure it isn't running in the background.

Not quite sure what to try next.......

Is this just pages on the net that are affected? Try resetting IE (if thats what you're using) as I had a similar problem, some pages were fine but some needed to have the zoom adjusted to look correct.
Mine was caused by my 4 year old daughter buggering it up and I've no idea what she did to it but a reset was the only way I could fix it!

open up internet explorer
go internet option
connections
and remove the conenction from the list
get these apps: CCleaner & Spybot S&D
install update and run them both, this should clear up any old reg keys and settings left behind by your old Dongle

Godd Luck

Well it seems the problem was Firefox...... Been using Chrome for a few days now and everything's displaying fine.

Been a fan of Firefox for years but have to say it's been getting increasingly bloated of late and this latest *thing* was enough to make me switch.
