hello all.
i have a nikon d100
and after a budget flash
which can be adjusted
been looking @ the stobist blog
but don't want to spend £400 on flash

please help
wol

I dont know much about nikon gear, but to help others give you advice you may want to state a couple of things; if not £400 what is your general budget. Secondly, do you wish to have ttl capability? Or just manual settings.

I have got the one flash in the pan sells on here for christmas plus the radio triggers he sells and it is excellent to get you started. The flash isn't as bright as others, but still brighter than your on board, and can be manually turned down, plus you can get more/ brighter ones further down the line. They are cheap and you would have to spend a lot more to get a little improvement..

mainly after manual flash
just to have a play
if i get good - i may pay more for the kit
:-)

but just having a play @ the moment!!!

sb-600 for cheap ish but good ttl

yn460 from FiTP for uber cheap off camera only

I recomend rf602 triggers from flash in the pan also

YOngnuo yn465 to include ttl and manual for about 40 quid delivered.

well if your just having a play around, testing the water kinda thing, I would also recommend the yn460 from FiTP like David has suggested. super cheap, full manual control, no hugely powerful but they will certainly do the job for a start :)
