Afraid to post photos?

Anything to improve. And yes, sometimes the ego has to be crushed in order to get better.
I do get nervous awaiting people's comments though.

I remember the first time I posted any pics on here, I was a nervous wreck! But I will say that I have learned absolute bucketloads from the good folks here, made some smashing friends and although I had been taking pics all of my life I only started taking it seriously three years ago. Now I'm doing it professionally and along with a lot of reading and a lot of training, this place is probably the No1 reason for that.

I still enjoy posting my own pics here and don't post as many of the pro ones. It's m place to unwind and come and have some fun, hopefully pass on some of that I have learned too.

So come on, all of you, get posting because you never know where that journey will take you but it does require you to take steps. Come on......:)

I don't know much about photoshop - I can't really afford it at the moment, so might download a free trial and see how I get along with it, so fear exposing my ignorance about post processing. I'm also not brilliant with the technical details e.g., calculating what ND grad to use in such-and-such a situation. All I know, mostly, is when something 'looks' right, and I have an understanding of how different variables affect one another, but it terrifies me when people start posting mathematical workings out :eek:

Does anyone else feel a bit inept here?

That said, I do realize that most are friendly and one important way to improve is simply by putting your photos out there for criticism.

in your stats it says (image editing yes) you can only do that if you put up some pictures :thumbs:
