For me {not an expert} before the update it was pretty slow on my desktop, but after the update everything that I ask of it is practically instantaneous . Desktop is HP with I5 and 16gb ddr3 memory. As I say I am no expert but I am very happy with Affinity and what it can do and it only cost me £29

Yes. £29 per year is great value. Oh wait a minute!

Ian If you are trying to dampen my enthusiasm for my purchase and use of affinity you have no chance My photography I do for ME and I am really happy with how it's going

I was making fun of those who accept making 'regular' payments for a certain alternative to Affinity as the norm. As opposed to a one off payment like you made.

Your £29 would have got you 3 months use of such a program.

My position is, it's of no benefit to anyone to have a single dominant player. So variety, such as Affinity, is a 'good' thing. So I was delighted to read that the performance had been improved. Even though some on here had already written it off.

Sorry if I wasn't clear. I'm not sure how you understood my post. If you followed my link above, you would have seen more on that. Where some responded that they wouldn't consider recommending 'any' alternative.
