Affinity photo editing beta for macs

I signed up for the beta some time ago, around Christmas I think and didn't think much of it and forgot about it but the new update came today and it's vastly improved. I've only tried it with one photo but I'll try some more. It's a bit strange to get around and some things aren't finished but it looks promising.

I believe they are working, on a pc version, which I'll keep an eye out for.

It looks good and it will be useful to have some competition for photoshop.

Yes, lets hope for some good competition. Now is a good time now Adobe are being, well..., Adobe. I hope they make a Linux version.

Just downloaded the latest, paid for, version of Infinity Photo, and I'm impressed. Having binned my PC in favour of a Mac (no regrets), this is the first editing program that ticks all the boxes (for me, at the present time).
I wanted a good raw processor, comparable to Photoshop CS4, and this comes pretty close. The program has plenty of bells and whistles for most needs, but, and most importantly, the main editing processes work really well. Infinity also operates in 16 bit mode for all functions through to the final image.
I was initially disappointed with the small size of the text (hard to read for an Old Git), but this was sorted in the Preferences.
Considering the extortionate price of Photoshop, at £40, this is a bargain, reminding me of Pixinsight, the best astro processing software money can buy, at a price that won't have you wincing in guilt and regret after the novelty has worn off!
