Affinity Designer for Windows is here

Or maybe it isn't?
I signed up for the beta version, I got the link recently so I downloaded it.
I got the file OK but when I tried to install it, it stalled,
at the point you see on the attached.

so I binned it and started again.
Same thing ( I left it to it, overnight and it was still at the same point.
So I thought sod this and clicked cancel, about 7am this morning.
This is the state of play as of now..
Any ideas anyone?

Photo and got first the beta of Designer…


Maybe you should make sure you have the said
prerequisite???

I reminded him that he wanted to get a MAC!

It seems its trying to install it, what ever it is.

Actually that's what I applied for too, but I thought I'd take a look at this anyway .. no chance

I've not tried installing though will be trying photo when released but check following.

Make sure you have 64bit OS, try alt tab to make sure no hidden uac windows waiting on confirmation, try running installer with admin rights.

I've got .Net4.5 and 4.6 already installed and it went straight through to installation. May want to install that first

Thanks, I've tried all those, still no joy.
I had a look through the affinity forum, that wasn't a lot help either.
I think I'll give up TBH I only wanted "photo" also.

on my MACs!

I've got .Net4.5 and 4.6 already installed and it went straight through to installation. May want to install that first

What you have to understand is, if this stuff isn't plug and play I lose patients with it
I guess its a PC re-boot as its been hanging ( the cancellation) for about 9.5 hours then bin the link...

Teething problems I guess now they have trialled it on a mac, they wanted to make a proper version
TB I'm more than happy with CS5 & ACR, I was just curious that's all.

My installation went without fault.
Like dejongj i already hat the latest version of net framework installed making affinity bypass its own attempts to download and install it.

It your net framework is faulty there is also a repair tool available from MS to fix any issues with your current install.

As a side note i believe they will beta affinity photo once they have cleared most bugs in designer as the two pieces of software interact with each other to share workflows.
