I've been using Affinity Photo since I stopped using adobe stuff.

I have the free low ability version of LR for basic raw editing, then take it into Photos for cataloging and doing any pixel editing in Affinity,i also use dxo extension in Photos for the lens correction if needed.

The RAW conversion of Affinity is waaaaay insufficient.
Lr ias a better choice. I went, years ago as I gave up on
Adobe products, to Capture One Pro… now v.10.2.
This cool RAW converter coupled with Affinity Photo as
pixel editor are the basic tools of my workflow.

Its a shame they cant get the raw conversion on par with LR,if they could it would be a standalone great piece of software.

There is apparently a DAM tool on their eventual roadmap, which will presumably do some of the things that LR does, though they haven't said anything specific about raw conversion:

First impressions ................ not as good as photoshop, nowhere near as easy to get help or find tool

My experience is more or less the opposite. I have CS6, so I don't need to keep a subscription active, but if I did I would ditch CC for my own use. Affinity does everything I need from an editor, with the exception of proper handling of fonts from imported PDFs (something I need occasionally at work). Affinity is also very fast. Adobe has much more sophisticated raw processing, but as I rarely use ACR (and don't have LR), that's not an issue for me. Different users need different sets of features, of course.
