My experience is more or less the opposite. I have CS6, so I don't need to keep a subscription active, but if I did I would ditch CC for my own use. Affinity does everything I need from an editor, with the exception of proper handling of fonts from imported PDFs (something I need occasionally at work). Affinity is also very fast. Adobe has much more sophisticated raw processing, but as I rarely use ACR (and don't have LR), that's not an issue for me. Different users need different sets of features, of course.
