I've noticed that I need to adjust the AF fine tune on my D7000 with certain lenses - back focusing drives me up the wall....
What is the best software / kit out there to use..
LensAlign MKII is something I'm looking at buying but is LensAlign MkII Plus worth getting or is there something better >?

Showing front focus before adjusting camera settings

I use spyderlenscal, Why? because it gives the right angle to check back/front focus and a target to aim at. Demos are on youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t-JrUQO_Z5U

Couple of point to remember, first make sure the camera lens is parallel with the target and also give some thought to distance between the lens and target. I set the camera on one tripod and the lenscal on another measuring the height from the ground up on both lens and target making sure its all on level ground. Each lens needs to be done obviously and the settings stored in your camera.

Some try and use a ruler on a table and a camera at an angle but this is not a very successful check and best avoided.
