Hi, When taking portrait shots is it better to use manual focus, to make sure that the eyes are sharply focused, or would you use auto?:shrug:

select an individual focus point, either centre or one near an eye, focus, recompose, shoot.

If the AF system chooses which AF point to use, chances are it will choose the wrong one.

yup. what he said.AF is often more acurate than we are.
but you sometimes have to show it what to focus on.
