advise needed please

im off on my holidays soon, and with the expected heat and harsh light could you guy give me some tips on how to achieve good quality shots, i.e would i need filters ect..... thanks.

Filters can help. I just came back from Provence where the daily temperatures were in the mid 30's. Try not to take photos during the hottest part of the day - mornings and late afternoons are better. Look for shots where a harsh light will work.

Wear a wide hat & sunblock!
