hi, I am going on a 3 week holiday to the USA soon and have been thinking about getting a camera bag that will hold a DSLR body with lens attached and a spare telephoto lens and a the obvious extra's like filters, memory card and battery. I want to be able to use it as my hand luggage as well as for the camera. I have looked at a couple and so far am thinking of the crumpler backpack or the crumpler daily - any advice? I am an amateur photographer:)

Hi Stelly and welcome to TP.

I don't know anything about those particular bags. Hopefully someone who does will be along soon.

But I do know a bit about airlines. The most important thing for you to do is check and double-check what your particular airline(s) will allow as carry-on baggage, and also check whether there are any country-specific constraints which over-ride what the airlines would normally allow.

There is a very good carry-on baggage reference guide here.

have just checked out the website and it is really useful, thanks:woot: Actually, it helps if I can take a second bag by the looks of things I can, but will call the airline to confirm!
