Yes
hi new on here (:
studying media at school,
always used digital instant cameras before,
i'm now looking to start using a digital SLR camera,
but i don't know where to start.
i obviously want a decent but not overly expensive one,
to start with that I can build up as my skill level improves.

looking forward to some replies. (:

close up nature shots and landscapes.
i've got approx £600.
i dont mind wether its new or second hand as long as it's decent quality.

and thankyou (:

Welcome,

I think the first decision is whether you want a resonable body with good lenses 400D + good range of glass or more expensive body with a compromise on the lenses,

also is the £600 for everything, Tripod/Bag/Cards/Filters etc or just for the camera?

yeah macro (:

and £600 just for the camera,
by cards do you mean memory cards?

i'd want a reasonable body with good lenses. (:

Hi Siann

the best thing to do would be to put your question in the Talk Equipment section.

detail what you would like to do and how much you have to spend and also the fact that you dont mind going second hand.

there are lots of experienced people on here that will gladly help.

i'm not that experienced unfortunately, only knowing about the kit i have personnaly bought.

give it a go..

Hi and welcome from another newb :)
If buying new (or a second hand current model) go to a shop (Jessops etc) and hold the cams to see which one fits best in terms of size and control locations
