Beginner Advice please

I have a 70-200 non is L Lens which I want to sell probaly on EBay and buy the newish 70-300 is L lens f4
Does anyone on here have one and what do you think of it?many thanks Roy.

it is F4? Previously I had 2.8 L USM (non IS) and I must say F4 LUSM nonIS was better then IS f4 or nonIS f2.8 why?
Pros
- u don't need to pay for it
- it is lighter (u can feel it)
- the image comes more soften but it is amazingly sharp (I could do 1/50 sharp photos connected to my old 40D)
- It has smaller filter size (if prizes for filters are crucial)
Cons:
- doesn't have mount shoe (u can buy it)
- a little bit too dark in close scenes (but for it is a tripod)

F2.8 IS
Pros:
- sharp as hell
- IS (but.... what for is IS??? Does it really help? especially in heavy lenses when u r shooting handheld
- IT is white, big...... if you know what I mean
Cons:
- Price.....
- weight

It's f/4-5.6, not a constant f/4.

From 70-103mm ... maximum aperture is f/4
From 104-154mm... maximum aperture is f/4.5
From 155-228mm... maximum aperture is f/5
From 229-300mm... maximum aperture is f/5.6
