Edit My Images
No
I feel like I'm having colour issues with my images. I recently calibrated my monitor & I was quite happy with the results so went ahead & processed a shoot. When I look at these photos on my phone or work pc they appear cold & muted. I've tried re calibration I bought a Daylight bulb and I edit in a space with no windows to ensure consistency. I tried factory reset on my monitor then recalibration too.

I have a kodak colour management check-up kit and the colours seem off compared to that & now I'm completely confused!

Here's a link to the shots I'm talking about http://www.ferj.co.uk/199981/2146233/gallery/the-rawson-family-portraits-clitheroe

Any help or advice would really be appreciated.

For me on this lap top they look a little under saturated... Could try boosting the saturation.

As to cold.. I don't think so. They look about right. Try boosting the saturation first (25% ?) and see how they look? You can always use one as a test and put on your phone to see whether it worked the way you want.

Hi Rob,
I've just viewed your images via the link & I agree they look a little muted!, however, when I've saved the images & opened them in my PS3 & 5 they look fine with no further saturation needed?.
I think it is an uload issue with your site!.
Just take the images into PS or Lightroom & you'll see there is nothing wrong with them. Kind regards Graham.

But no matter how accurate the colour is on your own monitor, unless the images are being viewed on an equally well calibrated monitor, they'll always look different.

Compared to other photography sites i have looked at they do look kind of pale.:)

Graham this is the issue I'm having! Am I saving them in the wrong way. My workflow is import into LR5, ctrl & e to PS CC edit etc then save as JPEG. I then upload & then they look like this!

It looks like you've exported them with a ProPhoto colour profile, you need to export using sRGB for most compatible web viewing.

Cheers,
Tony

How do I do that!

Well I think I have sorted it! Using the edit>convert to profile command!

Was up till 3am going through the last 4 shoots & converting them. Stress over (for now!) I had been exporting as pro photo - grrr!

They look fine to me now.

Pro Photo is a very wide gamut profile, and when viewed online by a browser that can't handle the profile, they will always appear very desaturated. Always embed sRGB for online images.
