Advice please: 1DX & 6D vs 1DX Mark ii or not.

What @cosmicma meant was there are no difference in the body itself apart from little nudge on the hot shoe :D
 
Just as a thought, do you have the latest 6D firmware?
I had one of the early ones and it couldn't focus for toffees.

Canon released a firmware upgrade which improved things dramatically.

That said, I have a 7d2 and a 1dx2 now. I really like the 7d2 for anything that requires long lenses.
It was definitely a cheaper option than a 500mm f4 for example.

I read as much of this thread as I could but didn't catch what lenses you had.
