Hi All

Just after a bit of advice on the best case to get to carry all my gear.

It will need to hold a canon 400 2.8, 70-200, 2 pro bodies, a 15" laptop and various other small bits and bobs.

looking for recommendations.............

cheers

James

I do believe we had this convo t'other night  Peli 1560 is just the job for you. I could fit 2 MKIII 400,135,16-35,50, flashgun, batteries etc

Morning Andy, we did indeed. I just wanted to see if anyone else could come up with some alternatives. I havent had a chance to get to any pro dealers yet to compare models.

Think Tank Airport International.. Very common among sports photographers as is one of the best designed pieces of kit available. Rolls smoothly (unlike Peli cases) so no issues with vibration and fits in the overhead locker on all international flights. Mine swallows, 400, 70-200, 24-70, 2 x D3's, speedlight, 2 PW's, the front slip fits a laptop and monopod tucks in the side.

That sounds perfect for me Dan, i was having trouble organising the Noink gear in my Peli case. Will have a look

See you on Sunday James, will send you my Mob No later ;)

Sounds good to me too. My current Peli is great, but have always thought the wheels could be better.

Got to get my ass to Manchester for the Spurs game now but when I'm back tomorrow I can post some pics of how it works for me. Great great piece of kit.

Here you go, some pics of how the Airport International works for me. Hope it helps :)

and then I also carry around a bloody photo trekker full of more back breaking kit!

looks ideal that, at the minute i've managed to get everything snug in the peli except the 400 and carry the 400 in its hardcase, think two big cases is too much to be lugging around

there was a S/h Airport international that was one day old !! At Aperture cameras last week. it sold for £150.00 I think

having a few THink Items , i can honestly say they are the best. There is NO excuse for Peli etc to have such bad wheels. Their cases are a bloody nightmare when pulling.

Id go with the Think Tank stuff aswell - actually i did! The thing i find amazing (and lacking in a lot of others gear) is that hasnt got rounded off corners/top so it makes easy to fit stuff in and no wasted space. Also the Airport range is carry on compliant (assuming they dont change the rules) although check with the airline to make sure as some smaller/provincial flights have smaller lockers.

What about the pro trekker 400. It says it should take all those.
I'm waiting on mine coming so I will give you the verdict once it's here
