Advice on monopods

Hi can anyone suggest a good monopod I'm looking for one with a ball head and quick release. Any ideas which I should get but don't want to spend too much money either.

I use a Manfrotto 680 with a 48x RC2 ball head (for the quick release head mainly) and have upgraded to a Giottos carbon fibre one.

£80 + would be too much anything under that I would consider thanks I will have a look at these ones.

the good ones, like tripods, come without heads so you can choose your own.

Is that all I need to buy then the tripod and the head I dont need to buy a plate or anything do I the head comes with the quick release plate does it. Do you know the cheapest place to get one from.

morris photo is usually quite competitive on monopods. Otherwise support your local camera shop and go try / feel / buy.

i use a Slik Pro one, its really good for the money, think i paid around £45 for it

I started off with that combination and would thoroughly recommended it. £58 + delivery from Warehouse Express at the moment.

Indeed, but that will push the price up to £80 including delivery. But will it hold the 5D + a decent sized lens?

Don't know, but I would expect a 5D to weigh some and if using a heavy lens? I use a 488RC2 which supposedly holds 8kgs.
