Hello experts!
I have a nikon D5000 with the kit 18-55 mm lens, a 55-200 and also a tamron 70-300 mm. I want to get more into macro and was wondering what you experts would recommend for a half decent macro lens. Budget is up to around £350. Not averse to second hand but would prefer new.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Many thanks in advance to any replies

I went with the tamron 90mm... Should get one new for your budget, definitely used. Only issue is that is extends with focussing, other than that I love mine.

I'm sure there will be many other recommendations, but have a look for tamron 90mm reviews on tinterwebs for more!

I use a Sigma 105mm f2.8 EX Macro lens- to good effect and these can be had for around £250 second hand, they also double as a nice portrait lens

I have a tolina 100mm macro I'm very happy with

you wont be dissapointed with a Sigma 105mm
Tamron 90mm also seems to be very popular

Macro agogo!

Feeling very fortunate!

Ah very good my friend

Will post my first efforts tomorrow. Went to south cerney water park today with the mrs and dogs and attempted a few different things. She gets a little bored when I start taking pics of everything!
