Our son has to travel to Edinburgh tomorrow by train, anyone have weather updates from Darlington upwards.

Thanks

Just been on Messenger with a mate who lives on the outskirts and everything isn't moving, up to 12 inches of snow in places, doesn't look good.

My Brother was meant to go from Newcastle to inverness today but decided not to go because he said the weather was bad Plus going to get worse. But that could have just been in the higher regions

Now if your son is traveling by train to edinbourgh then he should be ok unless there are leaves on the track:D

Mmmm Scunthorpe for Grimsby... Not a lot in it really is there.. :D

Kev.

We have a lot of snow lying & more forecast.:gag:

:'( we love the lakes.......you jammy sod:lol: when you moving then I hope it all goes well and if you need a hand give me a shout:thumbs:

have a look on the train companys website, if its anything like south west trains down here they have updates on weather effecting services etc posted on there

We keep checking but there are no updates about the weather or any cancellations, if the trains arent running it looks like a 500 mile trip up the A1

A few of us went to croft today to watch the rallying, we had to leave at 2pm because it was snowing that heavily, the east coast main line runs next to croft so from there up it'll be pretty bad by now
