I've been trying to practice this week with Hackers speedlite hes very kindly lent me. I've tried with my 24-70 and 70-200
I'm just lost tbh
My images seem soft, and out of focus, i've tried different fstops and exposures.
Check people and portrait.
Its bugging me :(

Why don't you post them so that we can see what you're talking about, vecsri? A picture paints 1,000 words!

I've just had a look your images in the Portrait section and firstly I have to say that self portraits are incredibly difficult to do particulalry when learning about flash. Why not choose a static subject and photograph it in various scenarios and using differing apertures, shutter speeds etc. You might also want to experiment with moving the subject away from or nearer to a background - all of this will help you understand how the light is behaving.

Remember to increase the EV on the flash when using the Lightsphere if the images appear underexposed. If using ITTL-BL (Balanced fill flash) the camera must be set matrix metering and ideally you want to manually expose for the backround.
