Guys today I was in the studio with a friend who shoots on a nikon d330 I think and she couldn't get the wireless trigger to work on her hotshoe. The hotshoe adapter wouldn't work either so I thought it may be the hotshoe that was faulty. Then she mounted a speedlight and it worked perfectly so we're totally stumped. I advised her to take it to a repair shop but thought I'd ask here in case anyone had come across anything similar.

Batteries?

My Lencarta trigger "played up" the other day.

Charged the AAA cells and it was fine.

Also try it on another body if possible.

The hotshoe adapter doesn't take batteries as far as I know and that wasn't working either. I was wondering if there was maybe a wireless setting she'd messed up but couldn't spot anything. It's bowen's lights and triggers and everyone else was fine except her.
