I for one am very disappointed. There are adverts everywhere you go now. In between overs in cricket, after each shot in golf, endless.

I’m going to record any match I would like to see and fast forward through the adverts.

Go for it.

We've been doing that since we bought our first video recorder!

I usually record golf, days 3 & 4, and play them on Monday and Tuesday, FF through the umpteen advert breaks.

Yes last night it was an irritation. I agree Jak, record and skip these ads.

The answer is simple - a broadcaster offers an ad free service at say £30 a month or free with ads (like YouTube Premium).

Someone has to pay for it

These days (and for many years past!), sports are pretty much an advertising jamboree. Logos on shirts, pitches, hoardings, you name it.

The split screen ads during the 6 Nations seemed to be only during "dead" time, when setting scrums so weren't too intrusive. Better than American Football etc. where the action seems to be getting in the way of the ads!!!

We will now record programme and start to watch 5 minutes after kick off so we can ff when ad appears.
