Yes
I've recently got a Canon 5D mkii, my previous camera was a Nikon D7000 and one of the menus allowed me to tweak the ISO settings so that I could select how slow the shutter speed could drop before it stepped up to the next ISO increment on auto-ISO, and also what the min and max ISO range I wanted to use. I found this a really useful feature.
Can I do this on the 5D? If so, how please?

I don't think so. IIRC the Auto ISO on the 5dII is similar to the 7d (ie rubbish). Coming from a fairly new Nikon, it's IMHO not worth bothering with. The first camera I've owned where I'm happy to use Auto ISO is the 6d, and even then I have to switch it off in Manual mode.

Oh :( that's not what I wanted to hear (but pretty-much as I expected)
