Advance warning

.....

Is anyone interested in me doing a tip/hint/tutorial a day thread like Marcel's self portrait a day? I have a load on my site but I think I can come up with something new everyday then add them to my site too.

......

 nice idea, would be useful to a good few here I figure.

Wonderful , and thank you cowasaki :)

Great stuff :)

I'll be posting a few snaps of the little beastie latter on, :)

DF - Are you happy for me to use your shots on my site and did you get the wired aluminium keyboard? If so any chance of some shots of that too. I currently use the shots from Apple's site but would rather use original shots. Thanks..

I do have the wired aluminium keyboard and what a work of art it is too

Apart from the feminine symbols on some of the keys, it's fantastic and is almost silent when typing.

I did some pics last night under halogen spot lights, not sure what they look like yet though. I'll check this afternoon and do some of the KB too

If they are OK, you can stick them on your site :)

Cheers, I have the white keyboard both wired and wireless plus I bought the wireless aluminium keyboard to use for powerpoint with the macbook pro (you should see the look on peoples faces when they see it!)

I personally prefer the white keyboards which are wonderful. In fact I am going to start buying a few of them new on ebay whilst I can still get them :)

I thought about the wireless KB, but the number pad tends to see a bit of action.....and it's not there on the wireless version.

Yeah I had a wireless keyboard and really couldn't get on with it. It's basically the laptop keyboard layout with no numeric keypad :(

I replaced it with the full size wired aluminum one and am happy as a pig in poo

When you are using the keyboard on your knee having the number pad pushes the rest of the keyboard to the left making typing more difficult. Without the number pad the F and J bumps are just in the right place to type properly which, for me, is more important than the number pad but this is not my main keyboard and I bought it for a specific task. I do like the look of the wired new keyboard but the white one is just the best keyboard I have ever used on any computer. I am going to have a second one with Photoshop key caps shortly :)

I looked at the wireless keyboard, then quickly discounted it.....no numeric keypad, and it doesnt have USB either. booo!

the usb is sooooo handy on the KB, saves reaching around the back to plug the ole' iphone in :D

Hi Rog

Glad to see you back and posting again

Have you ever checked the call timers on the iphone......i was shocked to see that i've only racked up a little over 9 days talking on it :D

Got any decent apps on there now?

Yup, the imac is a fantastic piece of kit......soooooo quiet

Woo hoo! My new macbook pro is now in full swing, I have just today upgraded from an intel imac 1.83ghz 17".

First impressions are great! Loads faster than my old system, loving the new features in leopard too.
I'm not having any issues with glare on the gloss screen or reflections to be fair.
I'm just in the midst of tweaking and migrating. I have a 24" Samsung display coming tomorrow too. All in all feeling good but stone cold broke!
T.

Gone for the oldies I'm afraid... :cuckoo: ... apart from Monkey Ball and Enigmo I now have ... Space Out (Invaders !), Pac-Man and Tetris - all brill imhgo and then Google Earth (not as good as on iMac of course) and PhotoCalc which no decent 3G owning tog should be without ... :D

How about your App tally then Brian... :suspect:

I'm thinking of getting one of the new LED cinema displays for a self-xmas pressie... ... for when I move office to the 'garage' in the New Year...

All in all still thoroughly enjoying absolutely everything Mac... :geek:

I have a PC wireless keyboard on my mac works well - only 2 probs, one the windows key is the mac key, wrong symbol and 2 the damn @ sign is on no 2 on a mac and not on a norm keyboard :P

Well worth going wireless *** - sofa has it's advantages over a pc chair on wheels :P

Apps tally so far

Crash bandicoot nitro cart
blocks (classic lite)
space invasion
apple remote
picvault
lock box
flashlight
facebook
around me
trails

no tog ones at all on there :D

Around me is a brilliant app  Actually I think you recommended it to me DF :)

My other favorite is iConvert. Brilliant conversion utility that has a lovely interface.

I downloaded it after reading this thread too!
