Advance warning of impending stupid questions


I have a strong desire to slack my way through TP in style, so with that in mind I've taken delivery of a rather spiffing 24" imac and airport express courtesy of those nice people at the Apple store in Birmingham. :D

You've got about a weeks notice to prepare yourselves for my inane prattle, before I unpack the mighty iMac.

Good luck :D. They look like very nice big shiny toys.... We keep talking about getting one, so I shall look forward to seeing how you get on. In the meantime though, I'm in the same position as 33L and being a windoze user, I doubt I'll be able to help very much.
 
Remember it will only keep you dry if you hold it over your head.

Nice one Brian :thumbs: If you've not used a Mac before then you've got a bit of a learning curve to go through but you're gonna love it :D

Best advice I can give is don't try and make it work like a PC. It's a whole different OS ;) If you can, try and spend a bit of time with someone who already has a Mac so they can show you the way round :)
 
I don't know if those Apple people in Brum told you that you can book a session in the shop and they will go through the Mac with you.

Having used both, they are different, but no big deal.
 
I have it on good authority he was there all afternoon ;)
 
If this desertion to the Mac side carries on well have to have a Mac Forum all on it's own

I've got loads of Mac products and in all cases the packaging is out of this world! Products inside are pretty good too!!
 
This chap has got a nice new mac, it doesn't appear to helping him very much though :shrug:

I find a camera is very useful for a tog ;)

As long as you're happy with your Mac - it's only a small step now to a neckbeard, cordouroy flares and a pipe...

I do use Mac myself, as in the computertator kind of Mac and not the Columbo kind.

I was expecting Marcel to change my status to summin after an attempt to deal alternative flavour jaffa cakes, internationally.
I think I escaped! :suspect:
