I'm fortunate to live in a area with a good choice of broadband and speeds. I know a lot of you guys who live out in the sticks are not so fortunate to have as much choice, so hopefully you guys on the slower speeds can answer a question on behalf of a relative who also lives in the sticks.
My sisters broadband speeds are abysmally slow, no Cable in the area, here exchange is just 1 mile away as the crow flies only capable of ADSL but also offers ADSL MAX according to Samknows website.
She is currently on adsl and a download speed of approx 1.5mbps and if she has a good night maybe hitting 2 mbps, She has the latest Sky hub. Router is connected to the test socket on the first socket that comes into the house but makes no difference. Would there be any advantage moving over to adsl max? How much extra speed is she likely to see and does Sky broadband charge more for it?
Thanks
