Adobe price increases

I can't see why the discounts on Black Friday will stop. Putting products on sale now and again to get a spike in sales is the norm and a good way to boost revenue AND increase customer base. Get them hooked and then stay.

So many reasons to keep doing it. The discount may not be as deep but there will still be a sale and discount, that isn't going away.
But the 20GB Photography Plan will no longer be available to new users / subscribers. So, there won't be a spike in sales or an increase in customer base. The only people who will be paying for the 20GB is us lot who already have it - and we're effectively trapped unless we stop subscribing.

Meanwhile - there still seems to be offers now? https://www.g2a.com/adobe-creative-...VvZpQBh21ZzsfEAQYAiABEgKuGfD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

Although whether they allow you to add onto existing subs I don't know?

The Amazon 12 month subscription does NOT stack with your current Adobe plan, no idea on the other one.

The BF discounts were based on the availability of the 12 month subscription that is probably intend to draw in new customers - but could also be added to the subscriptions of existing customers of the plan.

When Adobe stop selling the plan to new subscribers - which is what they have stated - then there would be no reason for them to offer it to existing customers.

I can just smell the offer shifting to 1TB package. Which would be totally fine as long as the pricing remains similarly accessible.

They still sell this?

What makes everyone things this won't be discounted? It's just a product, like any other product. This isn't a subscription product, this is a standalone one. If THIS product disappears from the page, I would understand, but it is still there No?

As long as that product page is still there, then there is no reason to think it won't be discounted.

Thanks for this. Have you experienced this? It's just that it looks very much like the Black Friday offers (which do) and some of the reviews seem to imply that it does. But I don't want to shell out £80 if it really doesn't!!

The one time purchase does stack. There was a recent thread on this.

It's a subscription product. You are buying 12 months subscription.

If you have an existing subscription for the same plan it stacks to extend the subscription on your plan.

If Adobe stop selling the 20GB LR+PS plan to new subscribers then to do that they implicitly stop selling this product based on the plan as well. (If they are only selling extensions to the plan for existing subscribers then there is no reason for them to sell via resellers - rather than directly to the plan subscribers.)

How weird. The cheaper product has an earlier release date and ASIN no.

Yes. It's the one I linked to earlier - which I found on google by putting 'adobe photography plan discount'.

Anyway, I'm pretty sure we won't be getting many Black Friday discounts now - given that they won't be wanting to get new customers in for this product. So, I took the leap and bought this one - at 30% off it seems silly to ignore it.

And to answer a previous query - Yes, it does stack onto existing subscriptions. So, I'm signed up till 2028 now - which is when I hope to retire, so I'll stick 'adobe subscription' down for a retirement present!.

It is but it also went on sale in the next post after yours.

I see no evidence why this isn’t going to continue, business as usual. Clearly it still is.

Of course, the proof in the pudding is Prime Day next year but I am fairly confident nothing will change.

The changes don't come in till January 15th, so until then new subscribers can still subscribe - so there's still a point to reseller offers.

I guess what is actually behind all this is the large increase in price if you want Photoshop as well as Lightroom from now on. Any new subscriber wanting both will have to buy the 'Photography (1TB)' Plan at £240 instead of the current £120. That's double the price. I wonder when the 20Gb plan will finally end, and we'll all be forced to choose between the 1TB plans and whether we want to continue with photoshop or not. Is Elements still around, because I only really use Photoshop for stuff I used to do on my standalone version of Elements.

Elements is still available but is now on a 3 year licence. You can probably buy the older non-licence from some suppliers.

By only choosing to sync the photos I'll be working on over the coming weeks, I've only used 438 MB. But what surprised me when I just checked is that it says 438 MB of 120 GB! It was definitely the Photography Plan with 20 GB, LR, and PS that I signed up for, and paid for.

I'm just relaying what I have read from others - I've always opted for the non-subscription one, and it's always worked OK.

I’ve bought it and it worked fine. Redeemed the code on adobe and it added another year.

If you pay a monthly subscription via adobe it should pause your monthly subscription for a year. I’ve only ever bought the year via amazon and stacked them. A friend has bought them before and it paused their subscription.

See post #92. I took the plunge - and it's stacked fine.

Were you a 9.98 uk subscriber ? - I'm tempted to purchase this but concerned it won't work. Is it straightforward to redeem against your existing plan ?

Gone up to £99 now. I think the change comes in soon - so we'll see what happens.

I'm due to expire in the next few weeks. Will this tie me into another year though?

It will tie you in for 12 months, I've pretty sure I got something similar and said 'No I actually want to cancel' and then I got the better offer (don't quote me though)

Cheers, doesn't feel worth it for £30 (well, really £20 before the inflated price increase)

I doubt it but suggest you check with them.

Can you switch to the cheaper annual plan?

That's what I'm looking at. My son meets the criteria for the student one, but I've only just started an annual plan for Dreamweaver :(

No 50% discount offered, meh.

If you have any children in school or college then get the education discount, I've been using this for years, when my kids were in secondary school and now whilst my son is in 6th Form College.

I currently get Adobe All Apps for £13.50 a month.

If you use some of the other apps then it is good deal. However it is still double what I am currently paying.

Adobe do not make things easy.

From an internet search, the 60 day offer does tie you in for another year.

If you just want the Creative Cloud package, switching to an annual contact is the way to go in order to avoid the monthly price increases, but you need to switch at the right time.

This link from Lightroom Queen should help.

The Dreamweaver/ student discount is an added complication but I expect you will have to wait a year.

Good luck.

I never have been a monthly subscriber, but a friend is. He bought the Photography plan on offer over Christmas on Amazon. He's just redeemed it. It pushed his monthly subscription back a year but its saying his next payment is £14.99 in Feb 2026.
