Adobe has just emailed with notice of a price rise in the annual subscription/monthly paid Photography plan from £9.98 to £14.99. Wow.

The email further states "maintain your effective current base rate (excluding any promotions) you can change your subscription to an annual, prepaid plan"

Has anyone managed to do this? I've logged to to manage my account but the only plan option is to accept the monthly paid £14.99 or cancel the account. Where's the option to pay an annual subscription?

Speak to Adobe on the telephone.

I too always buy "top-ups" on Amazon sale days. I'm well in hand at the moment.

I too am paid up for a while, but I wonder how good or not the usual offers on Amazon are going to be when they come out later this year? Somehow I feel there is a crunch point at £100 above which I'm not inclined to pay - I don't use it nearly enough to make it worthwhile. It'll be over to Affinity that I already have anyway then, with probably Apple Photos for DAM.

Whatever you do - do not go clicking or asking for switching on adobe. You will lose all you have left with them!
I presume you mean any images you have stored on their servers? This is why I never save to other organisations servers. I prefer to keep my own backups.

No this purely about billing

Obviously i am not keen on offloading my work to cloud either, and if i did i would need 6tb!

From what I can make out:

Photography Plan (20GB)
The old 'basic 20GB' Photography Plan with Ps Lr and LrC is no longer being offered to new customers, but is still available to existing customers at £14.99/month. I don't use or want Adobe cloud storage, so this is the package that I currently have and at the new price I'm not sure I will continue with it.

1TB Lightroom Plan
A 1TB Lightroom only package is available at £11.99/month. I might consider this as I don't really use Photoshop very often, but have been using Lightroom for cataloging and processing my images for a decade or so. I've read that even after stopping a subscription, Lightroom cataloging/file management functions still work.

This is currently on the Adobe store on Amazon at £118.17

Photography Plan (1TB)
The 1TB Photography Plan with Ps Lr and LrC is now the basic offering at £19.97/month

The Adobe store on Amazon is currently offering this at a discounted £198.68/year

CC All Apps
Creative Cloud All Apps is £56.98/month with a 50% discount for the first three-months.

So 30 days prior to your subscription expiring Adobe send you an e-mail outlining your options. What exactly do you loose?

Except most of us have far more than 30 days remaining

So you don't need to do anything until you are in that 30 day period - at which point you can switch to their annual billing.
Or you can hope Amazon offer the 12 month deal at a discount before then, so you can 'top up' (as you have done in the past) - but Amazon have it listed as Unavailable, so I suspect that route is gone.

I’ll probably just go for the 1TB photography plan when August 2027 comes around. Yes it’s annoying paying fees but I don’t drink or smoke and don’t mind a fiver a week. I’ll try and nab discounted yearly plans from Amazon also.

Still cheaper than the days of film, when we had to pay that for a single roll of 36 exposures!

No luck finding the annual option either had to contact support to sort it.

Finally managed to contact UK Customer Support though the Adobe chatbot - changed to annual prepaid 1 seat at £10.36 month equivalent which is a small increade on £9.98 month but nothing like the £14.99 requested.
