I have been using the PS Elements 2 for several years and now thinking of investing in Elements 9. I am wondering if anyone can recommend an EASY to understand book explaining Elements 9? I struggle with online instructions. Many thanks.

there's loads of them if you look on Amazon. i suppose it depends really what sort of level you're at and what you want to learn.

i didn't really want one in the vein of 'Elements 9 for Dummies' where it holds your hand through the very basic stuff, so i bought one from Focus this year called 'How to Cheat in Elements 9' which basically shows me stuff about the photomerge side of things and the more in depth stuff.

Cheers Leigh. I've had a look at Amazon and as usual I have a choice of many! I'm really looking for something that explains the basics in easy steps. I do not get on well with the "dummies" series! Good illustrations would be a bonus.

Another oft recommended one is one of the Scott Kelby series, Ive got the elements 8 one and find it very good.

This one is a bargain on amazon at the mo:

i bought scott kelby's photoshop elements 9, with this book and you tube,
i've managed to get some stuff going, i have seen advertised practical photoshop as a new mag, might be worth a look,
go for simple stuff first then work up, as long as you enjoy it, it will be fun spending the time on pe9

Cheers. I think I will take the plunge and go for the elements 9 plus Kelby. I've seen the photoshop mag advertised and may look at this.
