Hi......is this the the latest one one the market and what is the diffrence with (Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 Plus ) and (Adobe Photoshop cs5 ) am i right in saying that elements 9 is a better shop....

Elements £60
cs5. £600

that answers your question surely?

This question frequently arises, have a look here:

A mate of mine is a graphic designer with many years experience. I tackled him with this question and his reply was simply " use the program that fulfils your needs for the job you want to do".
In other words, there is no need to spend tons of dosh when you don't have to.

Download the Fred 30 day trial but elements has more than enough for the non pro and well worth 60

Hi Jeff

Yes Elements 9.0 is the latest version and should do you very well.

If you can get it cheaper, version 8 is well worth a look at

Thanks for the replys :thumbs:just as im new to this did not want to go and buy a costaly one looks like the elements 9 for me just now.......untill i turn pro...

The only reason I use CS5 is that I need specific tools like the patch thingies etc which aren't added to photoshop elements, depends on what you use, have a note of what tools you may need in the post processing stage, for example those who come from a B&W style film photography will obviously want a B&W tool which great precision so something like the Nikon efex or whatever it's called would be perfect :)

Pay for what you need and not what you don't ;)

cheers luke i would like to get cs5 but it is a tad dear for myself.....as it has everything that you want to do to photos.......is there anything as good as PS??

looks like elements plus is just some extra online storage and a few online templates

its US only and $40 dollars extra but doesnt look worth the money imho

To be honest CS5 is the industry standard and always has been, others opt for Coral Paintshop but it's not a patch on CS5. I would opt for Elements, I've tried the 30 day trial and it's just amazing for the money and the cataloguing is a great feature. Also remember that CS5 may not work properly on your computer, I have it on a year old Dell Inspiron 1545 and it runs pretty smoothly but when I tried the elements demo for a bit of fun it was super speedy so that's also an advantage to elements plus it's quicker start up time :)

PS9 is a superb program. I'd reccomend buying that and get onto the net and use the tutorials, or there are magazines/books that teach you how to get the best from PS9.
