Adobe Lightroom 3 -Who's got the best deal?

Thought I would ask before I press the button :)

I'm swapping over from Aperture to Lightroom, best prices (from a trusted seller) is £217 from amazon.

Before I actually buy it does anyone know of a cheaper seller?

If you know anyone, or are indeed yourself, in education, then Adobe is the cheapest for the Student Edition at £65.76. Exactly the same as the normal version, but cheaper. ;) :lol:

+1 you must know someone who is a student or a teacher?
 
EDU licence isn't an option as it for Business use :(

If you allready have a copy of elements then Adobe are selling LR3 direct at £79
which is approx 60% off
just got sent an email from them this morning

Also it is £79 + VAT so that's £95 ish, all in

If it is for business use, what's the problem?
Would you want people to be able to buy your stuff for less than you have priced it at?
 
I never asked if it was ok to go down the EDU route. The original question was to find the lowest price for the full retail version.

Since posting, i've purchased anyway

How do you register it, if someone gets it, what is the procedure?

If you get it from Adobe, you send proof when you order it if getting the education version, either as a student or teacher. You can then either download it or get sent a disk. When you install it, you pop in the serial number, and if you are connected to the internet it is automatically registered.
