Adobe Lightroom 3.0 (Mac/PC) (full version) £117.97

Thanks just ordered

Wow! Me too.

I have been processing in ACR for a long time and been more than happy with it. Everyone kept telling me Lightroom would be quicker & better but I remained unconvinced, even downloaded a trial but possibly didn't give it a fair chance..... but at £117.97, I couldn't resist buying today

Thanks to mithrandir for flagging this up

That is a stonking deal - it is a fantastic workflow tool. Excellent for pp and organisation , would not be without it.

Will it be worth my while getting a copy? I've not used it before though and recently tried out Cyberlink's Photodirector beta which I believe is similar (and subsequently got a free version code).

does anyone know on how many different machines you can install LR3?
i presume it is a one user licence, but with software like Adobe CS, you can install on 2 different machines (the idea being they're not used at the same time, so an office desktop and a laptop for example?)

can you do a double install like this with LR?

If you want to try it out before buying you can download a fully functional 30-day demo from the Adobe website. If you do buy it you dont need to reinstall either, just enter the serial number

ah that's fantastic... can get it installed on both laptops, one which stays at home, and one which I'm hoping to resurrect to take out and about with me :)

Hmm I'm considering the £117 version and waiting for delivery. Only thing holding me back is surely LR4 is not far off and that would be another upgrade price to feature in :D

How long do people think it will be before LR4 comes out?

Not sure when its released but i am pretty sure it will be £250+ so the upgrade might be cheaper ?

No longer available from Amazon themselves at this price. Now showing as £207.33, still with 2-4 week delivery. Amazon Marketplace sellers have it for £149.95.

if LR3 does everything you need then you dont need to upgrade to 4

Very true.
Just because a new version is released, you don't need to upgrade to the latest versipn with the latest features. You need to ask yourself are you happy with what you have and will you use the new features.

A prime example of this is Microsoft Office. 99% of people won't use any of the new features but they need it as they can't have an old version.
