Hi ,
As any member used this software, I currently use CS5, but got Elements with a 5D mk 3, is it better ,:thumbs:same :thumbs:or not as good .

Thanks

It's not about having CS5, but how you use it & what for - if you use only a quarter of CS5's potential, then PSE11 by comparison will be pointless crap.

CS5 will still be the bee's knees for years to come for those who can't afford to upgrade. Ultra-capable & solid as a rock.

The original CS (& what preceded it) is still extremely functional - the main issue is what operating system it'll work with, since we all inevitably have to upgrade those periodically ...

Daft question, really.

Of course it's a lot more powerful - it's also a lot more expensive!

It really depends on what you NEED to use it for.

I shoot mostly weddings and my main editing is Lightroom with a little PSE11 on the occasional image. I think too many people get hung up on wanting the ultimate editing tools when their needs are fairly basic.

Hi, I agree most of us could get by pretty well on using lesser things than we have including cameras/lenses/editing software etc etc, but it's just kinda nice to have the ultimate in something even if you don't really need it.:)

True, but elements does include a cut down version of ACR and RawTherapee (free) does loads.

I think you meant to say 'brutally hacked to pieces'.

However, Lightroom does make a wonderful match to PSE for raw shooters.
