Hi

Just purchased a canon 5d mark 3 and adobe cs6. Just tried processing some raw images and no matter what size image i try saving it just says not enough space. Im trying to save them onto and external hard drive which is what I always do and its only half full so there is enough space.

Any ideas whats going on?

the temporary file during processing wont be created on the external drive though will it?
is your C: drive nearly full?

I got that a lot with my old computer even when I let *PS use all available ram (had 4gb) and shut everything else down. Now have new machine with more Gb and not had that problem yet ( have camera and PS both version below yours but I do editing with dozens of layers sometimes)

Im not sure what memory etc the computer im using has ill have to check with hubby later.

Whats DDR3?

Looks like i need to get windows 7 i currently have windows vista looks like the computer itself has enough memory etc. How annoying :bang::bang:

I "think" you need a 64 bit system
Yup. 32 bit OS is limited to 3 and a bit GB for programs. 64 bit is effectively only limited by the supported values in the OS. For Win 7 I think Home is 16G max, Pro and Ultimate are 192G.

Might be worth checking whether your graphics card has it's own memory or is sharing memory with your pc aswell.........

It's "Double Data Rate" type 3. Quick memory in short..
