Hi,

does anyone use CS4 as of yet? and if so are there any big differences?

reason i ask is i have a fully legit version of Adobe CS4 Design Premium sitting here on my desk at work with license so i could use at home

is it worth installing or as i am used to CS3 is it "worth" the upgrade?

thanks

i've installled it on my work machines and had a breif look as its quiet, dont have any pics here to test but it looks good.

i will install it when i get home and have a mess around with it

The first problem I ran into was that all of my actions for resizing for the web didn't work. This was down to the fact that once the whole canvas is selected, the 'contract' option is not available. I thought it was me, so went looking on the interweb and found others with the same problem.

The content-aware scaling looks interesting but takes a little fiddling to work with, it seems to me.

i am in the process of re doing my site at the minute so making new actions maybe a good idea as older ones are different

thats for the warning however

i have them both installed now on my machine at home, once i have sorted actions and made new ones i will remove the older version

looks and seems to work alot easier, i've noticed the program runs alittle faster to which is good.

Be aware theres things missing from CS4, the extract filter, picture package are the 2 main ones I can think of right now, also you might have a problem if you use shortcuts a lot, it seems adobe have changed some to come in line with other adobe products, I had a problem with that. Also theres no right click on the image border any more for things like image duplicate, and I hate the way it tabs open images all the time, drives me potty!!! Wayne
