Looking at this... The upgrade package is £27 (and some pence) per month or if USD its $29.99 - so I am better off paying in dollars surely? Or is that too simple?

Oh. Was just browsing and u could select the currency. Maybe if u order it's different.
 
Also check the EULA. Sometimes even if it lets you pay in USD, you may not be licensed to use it in the UK. Some software will not activate if purchased in another region too (not sure if Adobe has this policy).
 
loving the conversion rates

like most things these days, because of greedy taxman to convert from dollars to sterling just change the symbol....
