Howdy Guru type people,

Quick question (I hope). I'm using Photoshop CS6 with ACR version 7.1.0.354 - is there a menu somewhere that I haven't found that tells ACR to automatically apply lens correction to an image when it's opened?

It's a real drag having to do that for every file I decide to edit.

TIA :)

There is a camera raw menu, it's under edit/preference/raw but off hand I don't think lens correction is mentioned. Easiest way is to set up a preset in ACR, you could batch apply that to all the images you have open.

Hi Wayne,

I can't find lens correction in any of the preferences menus :(

Guess I'll have to read up on making a preset ... never done that before

Lens correction: it's six tab from the left, over on the right-hand side of the screen. There are three sub-tabs, the one where either ACR has selected the camera and lens and where you can tick/untick to apply, or you can select camera/lens yourself. The middle sub-tab handles CA reduction and removal and the third sub-tab deals with manual adjustments to image correction.

If you select the settings you want and then go up to the little menu symbol in the top right-hand corner of the lens correction section you can click for a drop-down menu and 'save settings'. This then appears in the presets tab (last but one tab from the left) and Bob's your Uncle.

Anthony.

I am pleased to be of help and as to little chap... well, thank you for that, despite it being perhaps the most inaccurate statement you will see posted this year!

Anthony.
