Adobe camera raw 6.7 changing defaults

Hi all
I have recently purchased a cs5 & have trouble with the camera raw default crop sizes, whenever i crop an image in raw then take it over to ps it is set at 240 ppi not the 300 i want for printing, i have clicked on the blue writing at the bottom of the screen & changed the resolution there, but this only alters the 1 image & does not change the default for all other images. My old version always cropped at 300ppi but I cant remember how i made that the default!
Any help will be much appreciated.

300ppi is set there, but whenever i open a raw file into ACR it always opens at 240ppi, just checked my older version on my laptop & they always open at 300ppi.

I just changed the dpi setting in ACR by clicking on the blue text and it stays set to what ever I change it to.

As does mine, you don't have smart object ticked?

hmm very strange, i tried to blue text thing earlier but it kept reverting back to 240ppi, i have just done it again & it has stayed at 300 for all the raws i have opened
