Adobe 2022 problems

Does anyone get the "The file could not be edited because Adobe Photoshop 2022 could not be launched" message when trying to Edit in Photoshop 2022 from LR?
If so, how did you fix it?
IIRC, this happened a few years ago as well

I'm going to have to check and compare settings or preferences on my PC

I’d start with an uninstall and reinstall.

Done that
Still the same - however, after getting the message up and I "OK" them another message comes up and my image appears in Photoshop after a while.

That part works ok.
My workaround is to Export the image then Open it in Photoshop which kinda negates the integration between LR & PS

The strange thing is that when I click on "Edit In Photoshop 2022" Photoshop does indeed launch but the image doesn't appear and after a while the message comes up in LR

that’s very odd.

can you create a new edit with item, as if you were adding a third party plugin. Not the ideal solution but better than exporting and then manually opening in PS

Everything seems to be working fine in LR and PS
Only the integration between the two is at fault.
What I noticed today was after I click on Edit In PS 2022, after a while the original message appears, I click OK then it appears again.
Again I click OK then another message appears (can't remember the wording) click OK then it appears in PS!!
All very confusing

Just a thought when you upgraded did you tell it to delete the old version of PS?

I've not experienced what you are Mike, though I have noticed that when I go from LR to edit in PS using the keyboard shortcut Ctrl E the image seems to take longer to open in PS.

It cannot be a general issue as this still works for me. However, PS does not consider that my Graphics card is good enough now but I am due to replace my current PC anyway.

Mine works as it should after the update- once I removed all the old versions of Photoshop Mike

Mine works fine. I kept the 2021 versions.
