Adjusting midtones in LR 4?

Hi Andy

Thanks for the update/link as I am trying to learn this aspect of LR

I've had a quick look at this and I see first, that it more than a year old and secondly is not as comprehensive as the Adobe TV reference I've given you.
An important feature which is highlighted in my reference is the ability to manipulate the grey scale by the use of the saturation sliders in the HSL panel. This cannot be done using just the B&W tonal controls. Also it allows you to add back colour to a B&W image. It's worth spending the 13 min to go through this video tutorial and there are other similar ones from Julieanne Kost.
Hope that helps.

Peter also I thank you as I watched the video which was extremely helpful. My only problem with PP is knowing when to stop pushing the sliders

That's the point where art takes over from technical knowledge!:)

Yes how very true & so where are the tutorials on teaching me/us to be Artists. I'm hopeless as I tweak, then tweak a bit more, then tweak a bit more, but being serious, over the past months, I have taught myself control - I think

Thanks Peter... I'm on my work PC so haven't looked at the link you posted but I will do tonight. Thanks again :)
