Problem now is when I run the Batch processing I keep getting a save as window come up, but its coming up for every file, tried ticking the over ride save as box but then the files don't save!
Not sure what is happening there. Did you include the 'save as' as part of the action you recorded to add the text?
I have tried it with both 'save' and 'save as' recorded within the action, and both times the batch ran and saved all the images without prompting for anything at the save stage. That was without ticking any of the override boxes.
The advantage of using the 'save as' function is that when setting up the batch process, you can change the file name or add an index number so that your original files remain intact.
