Hi all

Working on some images and the model has awful skin.... I mean really bad, but she's an incredible striking girl with amazing features. Having to retouch the skin so much though that no matter how I do it it's looking too fake and over done.
Have Googled and there are loads of methods of adding texture back in but they all say they are best as they made them!!
Can anyone recommend a method that they've used and gives realistic results. Not looking for a quick route, looking for a quality finish please

thanks

Paul

Hi Paul

I would second Jon's request to Santa even a partial view would help.

There are ways of doing it as you have found from google - and possible those that are not available there but they all take time - hours to get the skin right in the first place if possible without losing all the texture then time to get it back if necessary. It might be easier to see the image first though

Depending on your level of skill, what about a band stop (where you block the frequencies higher than say a skin pore, but less than a contour..(IE block the grunge))

Hi - thanks for the responses, there are loads of images and they're all pretty different so not sure an example would have helped (but wouldn't have hurt I suppose). Thanks 'TheDrift' wasn't 100% sure what you meant but have read up and employed this technique to good effect. Top tip, thanks!!
