Add a monitor to your laptop for editing...???

Hi,

I have an Xrite X1i calibrator for my screen, currently I use a laptop...but the tilting has caused me nothing but hassle recently...does anyone know if you can calibrate a monitor added to a laptop (before I buy one)...?

The laptop is a reasonable spec Dell...HDMI & monitor out connections...

I have no problems calibrating a Dell monitor attached to my laptop with a Spyder calibrator - I am able to calibrate both screens.

Likewise with my MacBookPro. No problem calibrating the external 30" Monitor, the Spyder Elite software can also match them.

I'd be amazed if you couldn't calibrate any laptop, after all it is still essentially just a small computer with a screen plugged in...

Can cal...but if U move tilt of screen...gives different levels of darkness...bought new monitor...massive difference...
