well it arrived this morning and ohhhhh the lens don't fit .... iv read around and watched a few vids on YouTube and it should fit . any idears ?
thanks guys

This is Minolta/Rokkor to EOS ? Just a word of warning. I inherited a few Minolta lenses a while back and bought an MD/EOS adapter to see if they were any good. The width of the adaptor meant that the lenses could no longer attain infinite focus. They were fine for close-up and macro work but useless for anything further than a couple of meters. I'm not saying that there is no such thing as a useable MD/EOS adapter it's just that this is a common issue with some of the more obscure matings.

The MC doesn't mean that it's Minolta mount. The MC was a Vivitar series and made in several different options for Canon FD, M42, Pentax-K etc.

If you take a picture of the rear of the lens then it should be possible to identify which mount type it is.

That looks like Pentax-K mount to me.....maybe a Pentax user can confirm,

I'm with the consensus that its a pentax k mount, its exactly the same as the one I've just fished out of my spares case.
